1999 ! Finally the chips arrive at the Paris Marathon and will give us precise times:
For the first time at the Paris Marathon, a chip to put on the shoe and precisely measured times.
It is finally for me the first time that I pass under the 2:50, essential key to benefit of the preferential bib. The following year, the limit is reduced to less than 3 hours!
But in the end, having had a barrier at 2:50 gave a strong motivation to train seriously…
